Senior Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

Lowercarbon Capital is hiring a corporate lawyer with 4–6 years of strong law firm training to support the General Counsel across the full legal needs of a fast-moving climate tech venture fund.

In Short

• Lead and support venture financings from term sheet through closing.
• Advise on deal structuring and manage investor-side documentation.
• Oversee portfolio governance matters including cap table work.
• Provide board support and ongoing corporate upkeep.
• Partner closely with the investment team on negotiations.
• Coordinate the work of outside counsel.
• Ensure smooth execution across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Operate independently in a high-velocity environment.
• Play a core legal role at a mission-driven fund.
• Invest in technologies that meaningfully reduce emissions.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of strong law firm training.
• Meaningful experience with venture capital transactions.
• Experience in startup governance.
• Detail-oriented with sound judgment.
• Comfortable operating independently.
