Overview

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) serves as a supportive member of the patient care team, assisting in routine and non-complex aspects of patient care in the Emergency Department.

• Assist RNs, LPNs, and Physicians in patient care processes.

• Exposure to various work conditions, including potential infectious diseases.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate from a certified Nursing Assistant Program preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as a Nursing Student preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a patient care role preferred.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as required by the job.
• Understanding of safety protocols in healthcare settings.
