Emergency Department Technician - Remote

Overview

The Emergency Department Technician assists the nursing staff in the care of patients, performing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

In Short

• Part-time position, 24 hours a week.
• Day shift from 6:45am to 7:15pm.
• Assists patients with daily living activities.
• Obtains specimens and performs measurements such as vital signs.
• Assists in exams and treatments under RN supervision.
• Maintains and cleans medical equipment.
• Stocks and prepares rooms with necessary supplies.
• Communicates patient status clearly with RNs.
• Documents care activities in the medical record.
• Reports any changes in patient condition to RNs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or EMT.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a medical-related field preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
