Emergency Department Technician - Remote

Overview

The Emergency Department Technician assists nursing staff in providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

In Short

• Assists patients with daily living activities.
• Obtains specimens and performs vital signs measurements.
• Assists in exams and treatments.
• Transports patients and equipment safely.
• Maintains and cleans equipment.
• Stocks and prepares rooms with necessary supplies.
• Documents all care activities in the medical record.
• Reports changes in patients to the RN.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific care.
• Previous experience in a medical-related field is preferred.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or EMT/EMT-I.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience in a medical-related field.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
