Regional Finance Officer - Africa Region - Remote

Overview

The Regional Finance Officer will support the Regional Finance Manager by providing financial advice and assistance across HALO's programmes, with an emphasis on donor contract management and compliance.

In Short

• Support production of financial donor reports and funds requests.
• Assist in developing donor budgets using HALO's financial planning system.
• Monitor financial performance of grants/contracts and project costs.
• Support the construction of country budgets with anticipated donor allocations.
• Prepare and enter monthly journals into the accounting system.
• Assist in compliance monitoring against statutory regulations.
• Conduct desk and field-based audits for compliance.
• Travel to HALO programmes as needed.
• Uphold HALO's core values and mission.
• Familiarize with HALO policies and objectives.

Requirements

• Experience in financial management or accounting.
• Knowledge of donor contract management.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Understanding of NGO operations is a plus.
