Overview

HALO are seeking to recruit a Weapons and Ammunition Management Project Manager (WAM PjM) who will oversee and manage the implementation of a €3.5m NATO project to refurbish 47 armouries in three locations in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) in a 21-month period.

In Short

  • Manage the refurbishment of 47 armouries in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
  • Coordinate national construction teams and support from HALO Global Specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and local laws.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with NATO and governmental bodies.
  • Manage project finances including budgeting and expenditure monitoring.
  • Compile internal and external reports as required.
  • Ensure staff welfare and compliance with local employment laws.
  • Develop policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Travel within Bosnia and potentially the wider region.
  • Represent HALO during major engagements and events.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Experience in Weapons and Ammunition Management sector preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Knowledge of financial management and budgeting.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Experience in training and managing project staff.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Willingness to travel across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
