Overview

HALO is seeking to recruit a Weapons and Ammunition Management Project Manager (WAM PjM) who will oversee and manage the Guatemala project’s activities. They must have proven experience in project management, ideally including within high security environments.

In Short

  • Lead the country’s operational delivery and other contractual objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with Central America regional staff.
  • Compile and submit internal and external reports.
  • Pursue and develop new funding opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with HALO and donor policy.
  • Manage the project’s finances.
  • Manage procurement and supply levels of WAM equipment.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with diplomatic missions and authorities.
  • Plan and manage HALO and external visits to the project.
  • Manage training and employment of project staff.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Experience in high security environments.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage teams and staff welfare.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in fundraising and donor relations.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
