Overview

The Director of Development leads The Diabetes Link’s fundraising and advancement strategy, ensuring the expansion and sustainability of fundraising initiatives and revenue streams.

In Short

• Lead efforts to secure at least $3M+ annually through various fundraising strategies.
• Oversee annual fundraising campaigns, including major gifts and special events.
• Build a robust pipeline of major donors and corporate partners.
• Guide grant strategy and oversee proposal development.
• Develop a comprehensive annual development plan with goals and metrics.
• Manage the Development Team, providing direction and feedback.
• Lead conference engagement strategies with funders.
• Collaborate with marketing to enhance The Link’s brand and fundraising efforts.
• Ensure alignment of Development goals with the organization's strategic plan.
• Foster an inclusive work environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of previous development leadership experience.
• Successful track record in securing major gifts.
• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with diverse donors.
• Coaching-oriented management approach.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
