Mid-level Software Engineer – Vehicle Management Systems - Remote

Overview

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-level Software Engineer to support our Vehicle Management Systems team located in Hazelwood, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization.

In Short

• Develop architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for real time embedded software systems.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
• Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments.
• Execute tests at multiple levels to verify VMS software performance.
• Implement state of the art software development practices.
• Integrate supplier provided software and systems with Boeing developed components.
• 5+ years of experience developing VMS software and/or associated real time systems.
• 5+ years of experience with C/C++ coding or Java/Python scripting.
• Occasional domestic travel may be required.
• Must complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or related field preferred.
• Experience with SMARTER Team Development toolset.
• Ability to interface with various project teams and management.
• Knowledge of real time embedded system architectures.
• Real time software domain knowledge.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance.
