Overview

The Patient Service Center Representative II is responsible for creating a positive patient experience by accurately and efficiently handling the day-to-day operations relating to both Financial Clearance and Scheduling of a patient.

In Short

  • Responsible for scheduling and registration functions during patient calls.
  • Handles verification of eligibility and benefits, pre-authorization, and payment options.
  • May assist with complex pre-registration tasks.
  • Collects and verifies patient demographic and financial data.
  • Completes pre-certification requirements with insurers.
  • Works in a production-driven call center environment.
  • Must multitask across financial clearance and scheduling systems.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred experience in a customer service-driven environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required, with preferred related medical certification.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a call center environment.
  • Familiarity with dual computer monitors.
  • Basic typing ability.
  • Knowledge of Windows based computer environment.
  • Extensive multitasking ability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Preferred: Telephone/call center experience.
  • Preferred: Pre-registration and/or scheduling experience.
  • Preferred: 2-3 years of customer service experience.
