As Staff Software Developer, you play a key role in the product development team to design, develop, deliver and support robust, scalable, high-quality software components around core roadmapping functionalities, from integrations with 3rd parties to public and private APIs, as well as foundational improvements and tooling, of Tempo’s Strategic Roadmaps SaaS product (formally Roadmunk).

Architect and Implement: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain software solutions that set a high bar for quality, scalability, and efficiency across Strategic Roadmaps.
Technical Leadership: Lead software design and code reviews, providing guidance and feedback that elevates the quality of work across teams.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, site reliability engineers, product managers, and other departments.
Mentorship and Skill Development: Serve as a mentor to fellow engineers, promoting best practices in code quality, performance, and reliability.
Operational Efficiency: Lead efforts to improve the operational efficiency of Tempo’s engineering teams.

Requirements

6+ years of experience and passion in AWS cloud-native software development.
Self-starter, driven, and motivates others with enthusiasm and collaboration.
Passionate about clean code and best practices in software development.
Writes scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code.
Proficient in writing automated tests, system debugging and secure coding.
