Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Data Engineer at TealBook, you will tremendously impact our engineering team and the broader organization. With a mandate to drive forward our data vision and platform, you will have the opportunity to build the next-generation supplier data platform.

In Short

• Work closely with the Product Management team and Team Lead to define the problem and success criteria.
• Responsible for developing the solution architecture and implementation design.
• Design, build, test and deploy backend services for data ingestion and distribution.
• Focus on event-driven microservices and database design.
• Develop test automation scripts and run various tests.
• Document code and support production systems.
• Apply CI/CD practices to ensure code is releasable.
• Collaborate with teams to communicate technical concepts.
• Work in a product-focused organization with a customer-obsessed mindset.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a backend-focused data engineer.
• Solid understanding of programming paradigms and coding best practices.
• Expertise in Python programming.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of cloud-native solutions, preferably on GCP.
• Familiarity with asynchronous design patterns and message queues.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices and tools.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
