Overview

The Director of Proposal Management and Writing leads and manages Teaching Lab’s full proposal development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, competitive proposals that advance the organization’s mission.

In Short

• Lead the full lifecycle of proposal development for RFI, RFQ, and RFP submissions.
• Review and analyze RFPs to identify requirements and compliance risks.
• Develop and implement proposal strategies aligned with Teaching Lab’s mission.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage timelines for proposal submissions.
• Oversee editing and final packaging of proposals to ensure quality and compliance.
• Design and manage a robust content library and proposal templates.
• Provide coaching and quality control for proposal contributors.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align proposals with organizational priorities.
• Ensure proposals are tailored to diverse stakeholders.
• Support program/project needs and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience with K-12 education procurement processes.
• At least five years of experience leading RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Highly organized with advanced project management skills.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
