Product Designer - Remote

Overview

Teaching Lab's Innovation Studio is seeking a dedicated and experienced Product Designer to play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our edtech products.

In Short

• Design intuitive, engaging, and accessible user interfaces for the Studio products.
• Conduct UX research to understand user needs and gather feedback.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Iterate on designs based on user research findings.
• Maintain and update design systems for consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design solutions.
• Contribute to design discussions and brainstorming sessions.
• Supervise project teams as needed.
• Work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Support Teaching Lab’s mission to improve educational outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Product Design (UX/UI).
• Proven experience designing digital products.
• Proficiency with design tools, specifically Figma.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Strong understanding of UX design principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for improving educational outcomes.
• Empathy for K-12 teachers and students.
• Ability to think creatively and take initiative.
