Overview

As a Strategic Account Executive at pawaPay, you will manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closing deals, in a fast-growing B2B payments start-up focused on mobile money in Africa.

In Short

  • Generate new business opportunities by targeting merchants in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Conduct discovery calls and qualification meetings using sales methodologies.
  • Deliver tailored product meetings showcasing mobile money fintech solutions.
  • Collaborate on proof of concept projects to demonstrate platform effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for mobile money transactions.
  • Lead contract negotiations and drive the contract signing process.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with merchants.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development roles.
  • Comfortable self-generating opportunities and managing the sales process.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with sales methodologies like MEDDPIC and BANT.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach.
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM.
