Senior Data Scientist - Remote

Overview

T-Rex Solutions is looking to select a Senior Data Scientist to support the US Department of the Treasury TCloud enterprise cloud development effort. We are seeking a highly capable Data Scientist to join the IRS’s Analytics Application Platform (AAP), where you'll not only design and develop AI/ML solutions but also serve as a technical enabler for onboarding customer teams onto the platform. As AAP is the central Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for secure and scalable AI/ML development across federal programs, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring customer success — demonstrating platform capabilities, guiding onboarding, and supporting early use case development.

In Short

• Deliver onboarding demos and hands-on walkthroughs for customer data science teams.
• Guide customer teams through their initial onboarding milestones.
• Serve as a technical point-of-contact for customer users.
• Build secure and reproducible data science pipelines.
• Leverage MLflow for model versioning and experiment tracking.
• Integrate with CI/CD workflows and infrastructure services.
• Ensure transparency and appropriate security handling.
• Implement Responsible AI Toolboxes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional platform teams.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelors degree and seven (7) years or more of related experience.
• Significant experience in data science roles within cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, JupyterHub, and AWS tools.
• Strong Python, SQL, R, and Spark proficiency.
• Experience working in regulated or government environments.
