Remote Triage Team Member - CMA

Overview

The Remote Triage Team Member provides telephonic support to patients with chronic conditions, ensuring proactive care management and coordination.

In Short

• Provide telephonic support to enrolled care management patients.
• Assist with pre-authorizations and insurance verifications.
• Gather relevant patient information and assess urgency.
• Offer appropriate advice and document calls accurately.
• Maintain professional communication with patients.
• Follow established protocols for telephone triage.
• Refer patients to appropriate providers when necessary.
• Work as a 1099 contractor responsible for own taxes.
• Participate in regular meetings to define scope of work.
• Must be able to start within one week of hire.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant with 2+ years of clinical experience.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
• Understanding of Windows desktop applications.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
• High-speed internet and a compatible computer.
• Ability to learn new platforms independently.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Prior experience in pain management and telephonic triage preferred.
• Strong documentation and phone etiquette skills.
• Self-directed and able to prioritize responsibilities.
