Overview

The HR/Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration of HR and benefits/retirement programs, supporting employee lifecycle processes and ensuring compliance with various HR functions.

In Short

  • Administer HR & benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Support internal mobility, life events, separations, and Health & Welfare plans.
  • Coordinate with third-party providers for program delivery.
  • Perform audits of HR and benefits-related data.
  • Assist with open enrollment processes.
  • Respond to escalated employee and manager service requests.
  • Administer Tuition Assistance programs.
  • Execute HR audit programs for compliance.
  • Generate reports for allocation and billing charges.
  • Maintain accuracy of benefits enrollments in HRIS.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with five years of HR experience, or a relevant degree with less experience.
  • Preferred certifications: SHRM, HRCI, CEBS.
  • 3+ years of experience in Health & Welfare Benefit administration.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
