Mid to Senior Software Developer - Bitcoin Wealth Platform - Remote

Overview

Swan is looking for a mid to senior level developer to contribute to the continued growth and development of our flagship Swan Vault and future self-custody and collaborative custody offerings, as well as broader account security and risk related features of the Swan product.

In Short

• Work with a self-motivated and fully distributed startup team.
• Contribute to the design and development of self-custody, security, and risk products.
• Perform story breakdowns and estimation to guide development efforts.
• Write and review production code across the Swan stack and open source systems.
• Write and review automated tests for Swan’s self-custody offerings.
• At least 2 years bitcoin-related software engineering experience required.
• At least 5 years full-stack software engineering experience required.
• Familiarity with bitcoin hardware signers and related technologies.
• Excellent understanding of security fundamentals.
• Agile software development experience is a plus.

Requirements

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js, React, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience shipping database-backed APIs and managing complex SQL schemas.
• Ability to update and expand web UIs.
• Strong debugging skills for hardware.
• Experience developing security-sensitive software.
• Solid foundation in bitcoin self-custody solutions.
• Passion for Bitcoin and involvement in the Bitcoin community.
• Ability to work in a flat and collaborative team environment.
