Overview

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing R&D Engineering team. If you are excited by the idea of turning data into scientific models and scalable, production-ready systems that support healthcare innovation—this is the role for you.

In Short

  • Productionize Databricks notebooks created by our Scientists
  • Create, manage, and enhance data pipelines that support ML and analytics workflows
  • Support and collaborate closely with our Head of Engineering
  • Improve and maintain our cloud-based data infrastructure on Azure and AWS
  • Help support and enforce best practices for data engineering, curation, and notebook development
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure data products align with our platform principles and scientific goals
  • Build scalable and efficient pipelines that connect raw data and metadata to insights and products
  • Help evolve our use of the Databricks platform, and our broader Azure/AWS cloud environments
  • Translate Python/SQL/R code from exploration to production-grade
  • Be a hands-on partner to Scientists, supporting their work and helping scale their models
  • Contribute to shaping our engineering culture and infrastructure as we grow

Requirements

  • You have a solid foundation in data engineering and/or MLOps and are excited to keep learning
  • You have experience with Databricks
  • You have experience in Python, R and SQL transformations and data pipeline creation
  • You're familiar with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • You hold a University degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • You communicate well and enjoy being part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments where you can take ownership and iterate quickly
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • You’re comfortable working remotely, with at least 50% timezone overlap with US/GMT
