Controller - Remote

Overview

This is a leadership role where you will ensure financial reporting is compliant with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate policies and procedures. You will establish accounting policies and procedures to ensure that all financial transactions are executed and documented accordingly.

In Short

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review financial statements, account analyses, and manage cash flow.
• Coordinate year-end audits and tax preparation with internal teams and external auditors.
• Direct accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Develop financial and operational systems to support growth.
• Oversee the company's cash management.
• Collaborate with HR and IT Systems teams for organizational coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (CPA preferred).
• 5+ years in a leadership role with a focus on finance and operations.
• Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and US GAAP.
• Knowledge of accounting best practices.
• Proficiency in financial software like Netsuite and Sage Intaact.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of financial performance.
