Reimbursement Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Reimbursement Specialist plays a critical role in managing claims, ensuring successful adjudication, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

In Short

• Monitor workflow dashboard for claims management.
• Research and correct claims to facilitate submission.
• Contact payers and Medical Directors as needed.
• Complete coding and charge entry tasks.
• Report dashboard status to Reimbursement Supervisor.
• Field patient account inquiries and complaints.
• Manage and resolve items in the MGRHOLD bucket.
• Prepare supporting documentation for claims.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Travel to satellite locations for meetings as required.

Requirements

• High School Graduate/GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in claims management required.
• Experience with athenaCollector preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle.
• Ability to work with Excel and manage reports.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with insurance benefit terms.
• Ability to handle patient inquiries effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
