Technical Writer - Remote

Overview

Suki is creating a new category in the health tech space – the digital assistant for physicians. We are going to be the voice user interface for healthcare. Currently, doctors use their electronic medical record (EMR) system to track patient encounters. These systems can be hard to navigate and very time consuming to manage. Time that doctors would rather have to spend with their patients. This is the problem we’re solving right now: Doctors that use Suki today spend over 50% less time on administrative tasks than they did previously and we’re striving to do even better.

In Short

• Play a crucial role in planning, creating, and maintaining educational content for external developers.
• Produce clear, detailed, and engaging educational content for Suki's APIs and SDKs.
• Work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and Marketing team members.
• Write and edit API documentation, SDK guides, and developer tutorials.
• Gather and synthesize technical information from various sources.
• Utilize documentation tools such as Markdown, Sphinx, and Jekyll.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Understand software development processes and technical concepts.
• Familiarity with API authentication and authorization methods.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing.
• Strong understanding of APIs, SDKs, and software development processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear summaries.
• Familiarity with documentation tools.
• Ability to work effectively with Engineers and Product Managers.
