In Short

• Be a part of an agile, experienced cross-functional team that owns the search system end-to-end
• Experiment with and improve our Search algorithm, optimizing our OpenSearch cluster on AWS
• Design and implement backend services for our search application using Rust, Typescript, Python, and AWS cloud services
• Write tests and contribute to automating our CI/CD pipeline
• Empathize with users and care about user feedback and usage data
• Stay updated with the latest trends in Search, ML, and Backend development
• Mentor colleagues and help them grow
• Work with Kanban or Scrum and strive to improve our way of working
• Maintain a positive and fun work environment

Requirements

• Experience with building search engines using OpenSearch, Elasticsearch or similar technologies
• Solid experience as a Software Engineer with scalable services using Rust, Go, JVM-based languages, or TypeScript
• Experience in a hypothesis-driven environment, focusing on customer metrics
• Experience with AWS or other Cloud providers, ideally with Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and OpenSearch
• Strive to build testable, predictable, and simple code
• Experience in Docker, Git, and CI/CD
• Proficient English language skills
• Positive mindset and social skills for an international setup
