Overview

The Maine CDC Operations is looking for a Public Health Data and Evaluation Specialist to ensure data is efficiently collected, analyzed, and reported for performance monitoring, planning, and policy development.

In Short

  • Full-time position with partial telework options
  • Responsible for evaluating Public Health Infrastructure Grant progress
  • Develop and implement evaluation plans per US CDC guidance
  • Support program staff with data analysis and visualizations
  • Compile and report on program performance measures
  • Assist in quality improvement efforts
  • Work with various types of health data
  • Document process improvements across the agency
  • Collaborate with Maine CDC leadership
  • Provide technical assistance to program staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and 3 years of experience
  • Experience in data collection and analysis
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and Oracle databases
  • Proficiency in Tableau and Power BI
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team leadership and facilitation skills
  • Experience in public health program evaluation
  • Knowledge of quality improvement techniques
