Chronic Disease Evaluator - Remote

Overview

The Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Program (CDPCP) is seeking a Chronic Disease Evaluator to coordinate public health surveillance and evaluation of chronic diseases and related risk factors in Maine.

In Short

• Coordinate collection, analysis, and dissemination of state surveillance data.
• Collaborate with Chronic Disease Programs and other Maine CDC Programs.
• Provide professional consultation to programs and healthcare partners.
• Monitor disease trends and emerging threats.
• Implement quality improvement activities.
• Support public health initiatives for disease control and prevention.
• Represent the program at various meetings and workshops.
• Assist with grant writing and reporting.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Epidemiology or related field, or Bachelor’s with two years of experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge in Public Health and evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and database management.
• Experience with statistical software (SAS preferred).
• Experience in developing technical materials for providers and the public.
