The AI Platform team at Standard Bots is on a mission to create the default platform for applied AI robotics, where companies can efficiently develop, train, and deploy intelligent robots without reinventing the wheel. We’re building a robust ecosystem of tools, APIs, and an intuitive UI that empower businesses to harness the power of AI-driven robotics without needing specialized expertise. In Short

• Lead a small team of ML engineers to achieve business outcomes and technical excellence
• Design and optimize AI models and training strategies for robotics applications
• Apply novel machine learning techniques to solve complex robotics challenges
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure model performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Build our ML pipeline, as well as full-stack as needed to deliver our AI product
• Drive technical roadmap and project management for your team
• Consult with AI industry experts to de-risk technical strategy
• Develop growth plans and keep engineers motivated
• Work with leadership and cross-functional partners to define success for our AI product as well as an execution plan

Requirements

• Have 10+ years of experience in a software engineering team, with at least 2 years of management experience
• Have a proven track record developing and deploying large-scale ML models
• Have experience with PyTorch and modern ML architectures and training techniques
• Have experience working in python, typescript and with various cloud technologies
• Have experience leading teams of 2+ engineers
• Have a track record of shipping business outcomes in a 0→1 environment
