Overview

Recidiviz is thrilled to be hiring a Tech Lead Manager to join our team! We’re a small, fast-moving group that uses complex criminal justice data from our state partners to build products that target the drivers of incarceration.

In Short

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product engineers.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
• Partner with product managers and designers to create the team roadmap.
• Write technical design documents for new projects.
• Participate in code review and technical discussions.
• Balance team resources across multiple projects.
• Drive impact by launching software in multiple states.
• Level up the engineering team by making contributions to process and culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience working in a cross-functional organization.
• Experience architecting and building user-facing web products.
• Strong coding abilities and system design skills.
• Experience with team leadership and project management.
• Experience managing or mentoring engineers.
