Senior Payroll Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to perform routine payroll activities and ensure accurate payroll processing for clients.

In Short

• Perform data entry and payroll calculations.
• Balance and monitor earnings and deductions.
• Prepare general ledger entries.
• Reconcile and correct account entries.
• Prepare payroll taxes and reports.
• Assist with training entry-level staff.
• Handle special payroll scenarios.
• Lead or assist with special projects.
• Understand and propose solutions to clients’ needs.
• Maintain time and attendance records.

Requirements

• 5-6 years of US taxes and payroll experience.
• Knowledge of government 944-943 forms and state unemployment tax.
• Experience with payroll systems preferred.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or other industry designation preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet established timelines.
• Experience with financial reporting.
• Proficient in data entry and record verification.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and staff.
