Teaching Assistant for Data Science Career Track Plus - Remote

Overview

Springboard is launching an online Data Science Career Track Plus in which students learn with the help of a curated curriculum, mentors, career coaches and teaching assistants (TAs). Our student support network comprises some of the best data science experts in the field. We are looking to hire a TA who is an experienced data science professional and is passionate about supporting students learn the content covered in our data science syllabus. TAs provide support via chat and emails to help students progress in the curriculum by answering quick-stop questions.

In Short

• Be available on time for your scheduled TA shift(s)
• Respond to students within at most 30 minutes
• Provide high quality responses to student questions
• Keep interaction times per student below 30 minutes
• Notify the Springboard team of planned breaks and vacations
• Available to answer subject matter questions
• Empathetic and have excellent written communication skills
• Proficient with tools covered in the data science curriculum
• Great at time management during high demand
• Familiar with other student support channels

Requirements

• Available for five ~4-hour shifts during regular business hours
• Patient and able to analyze student issues
• Demonstrate interest in student success
• Effective at guiding learners through content
• Great at time management
