Backend Engineer - Music - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a backend engineer with experience building data-intensive services and systems to join the squad. This role will be a founding member and main driver of backend services that powers capabilities for label and publisher rightholders on the Spotify platform.

Requirements

• Strong command of backend development best practices.
• Experience in designing and building distributed services in Java or similar languages.
• Working knowledge of delivering data solutions using Scio and Scala.
• Exposure to data warehouses and orchestration platforms.
• Experience with high throughput user-facing systems.
• Ownership of solutions from scoping to deployment.
• Quality assurance through testing and automation techniques.
• Understanding of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
• Interest in enhancing data skills for web development.
• Commitment to team success and collaboration.
