Subject Matter Expert for NATO Joint Warfare Centre - Remote

Overview

Engagement as Short-Term Operational support for specific exercise events as a Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) fulfilling one of the Exercise Play Functions (EPFs) in the Exercise Control Organization (EXCON).

In Short

• Contribute FOGO level experience of NATO Joint operational to JWC exercises.
• Employ understanding of NATO Exercise Planning Process and Operational Planning Process.
• Provide advice and guidance to JWC personnel and TA staffs.
• Mentor JWC personnel in key EXCON positions.
• Assist in analyzing TA produced orders and documentation.
• Provide understanding of multi-domain operations.
• Engage with Senior Mentors to coordinate JWC activity.
• Attend daily coordination meetings.
• Undertake other duties as required.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in Exercise Planning and Delivery.
• Experience in briefing senior leaders in a National or Multinational environment.
• In-depth knowledge of NATO’s multi-joint operations.
• Demonstrate professional application of a recognized mentoring qualification.
• OF-7 Command experience and mentor qualifications.
• Senior staff or equivalent military or national Defence College Graduate.
• Business English proficiency.
