Overview

The Patient Financial Services Representative’s primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service, assist with patient collections, and resolve routine billing inquiries.

  • Review and process financial assistance applications.
  • Organize and perform collection processes for assigned accounts.

  • Manage patient correspondence and verify eligibility.
  • Comply with performance standards and HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with colleagues.
  • Uphold all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Education or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical call center preferred.
  • Moderate comprehension of insurance explanation of benefits.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and negotiation skills.
  • Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA).
