Overview

The Associate Dean will play a central role in supporting curriculum development initiatives that strengthen the coherence, relevance, and rigor of the general education program at South College.

In Short

• Full-time position for Associate Dean of General Education, Online.
• Responsible for curriculum development and alignment with institutional learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with Academic Dean and faculty to design innovative courses.
• Oversee daily operations and administration of the General Education Department.
• Maintain a teaching load of eight courses per year.
• Attend curriculum meetings and review pass/fail rates.
• Provide ongoing faculty management and training.
• Represent online modality in cross-campus initiatives.
• Requires a terminal degree and teaching experience.
• Leadership experience is preferred.

Requirements

• A terminal degree is required.
• Teaching experience in post-secondary educational setting.
• Leadership experience, preferably overseeing diverse groups.
• Background in data analysis and/or systems/operation management.
