Linux System Administrator / DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

This position is for a Linux System Administrator / DevOps Engineer supporting the U.S. Transportation Command's Integrated Data Environment & Global Transportation Network Convergence Program. The role involves managing Linux systems, developing scripts, and ensuring secure software delivery practices.

In Short

• Manage and administer Linux systems in a secure environment.
• Develop and troubleshoot scripts in Bash, Java, and Python.
• Create and manage cron jobs and automate scheduled tasks.
• Execute and manage data cleanup scripts and maintenance tasks.
• Integrate secure software delivery practices.
• Experience with Git and ClearCase for version control.
• Work in a collaborative environment with developers and DBAs.
• Maintain documentation for Software Bill of Materials (SBOM).
• Must have DoD Secret clearance.
• Flexible work schedule including onsite, hybrid, or remote options.

Requirements

• Intermediate to senior level experience in Linux System Administration.
• Development experience in Bash, Java, and Python.
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL and database management.
• Experience in DevOps practices and build script development.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and cybersecurity standards.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
