System Administrator / SysOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

This is an excellent work from home opportunity for self driven, motivated Systems Engineers to be part of the Systems Engineering Team at IDT in an extended staffing model and provide 24/7/365 support for mission critical services.

In Short

• Design, deploy, troubleshoot, and perform core system administration functions.
• Provide 24/7/365 support for mission critical services.
• Work with Linux and Windows based systems.
• Manage VMware and Citrix infrastructure.
• Support AWS cloud and G-Suite administration.
• Participate in on-call rotation for support.
• Work in US time zones.
• Utilize scripting skills with Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Experience with NAS & SAN storage management.
• Good communication skills required.

Requirements

• 5 to 12 years of experience in system administration.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows systems.
• Experience with VMware and G-Suite administration.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services is desirable.
• Experience with automation tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Good scripting skills.
• Experience with storage subsystems and technologies.
• Knowledge of F5 (DNS/Load Balancer) is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and manage high throughput database servers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
