In Short

• Responsible for processing new referrals including verifying patient eligibility and test claim adjudication.
• Coordinate benefits and identify patient estimated out-of-pocket costs.
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on payer authorization requests.
• Perform benefit verification of all patient insurance plans.
• Document coverage of medications and related infusion services.
• Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility.
• Initiate and secure prior authorization and medical review.
• Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding status updates.
• Assist patients with financial necessity enrollment in assistance programs.
• Generate new patient start of care paperwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of home infusion Acute pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines.
• Strong ability to multi-task and handle numerous referrals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of CPR+ preferred.
