Collection Specialist - Remote

In Short

• Responsible for a broad range of collection processes related to medical accounts receivable.
• Research balances on accounts and take necessary collection actions.
• Make routine collection calls on outstanding claims.
• Identify billing errors and resolve accordingly.
• Document detailed notes in Company software system.
• Provide exceptional Customer Service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Answer patient calls regarding balance questions.
• Submit secondary claims and write detailed appeals.
• Keep abreast of payor follow-up deadlines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• 1-3 years of strong collections experience.
• Previous Home Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy experience required.
• Knowledge of HCPC coding and medical terminology.
• Excellent math and writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
