VP, Procurement - Remote

Overview

The VP Procurement is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing sourcing and procurement strategies to support Smartsheet’s mission, values, and business goals.

In Short

• Work cross-functionally to build strategic relationships with leaders across Smartsheet.
• Influence decision-making impacting spend management and supplier partnerships.
• Set direction for long-term category strategies to drive value creation.
• Perform industry benchmarking and study market conditions.
• Forecast pricing and develop strategies for negotiations.
• Build and implement procurement processes and policies.
• Define and track operational reporting and performance metrics.
• Provide vision and direction to the procurement team.
• Recruit, train, and develop procurement experts.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely execution of procurement requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field, MBA preferred.
• 15 years of experience in a corporate environment, ideally in tech/software.
• 8 years of experience leading a team.
• Preferred certifications like CPSM or CSCP.
• Experience overseeing significant company spend in a global organization.
• Understanding of procurement laws and ethical practices.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Experience with Coupa Software is desired.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
