Overview

The Event Manager will oversee a variety of tasks within the Event team at SMART Technologies during an 8-month limited-term contract, focusing on coordinating programs, managing events, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams.

In Short

  • Develop understanding of business and coordinate programs with sales teams.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination for global and regional events.
  • Plan multiple events simultaneously, ensuring quality execution.
  • Provide support in executing programs to meet customer targets.
  • Communicate desired outcomes and collaborate with core teams.
  • Coordinate pre-show staff readiness and presentations.
  • Track and report on event outcomes and metrics.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and partners.
  • Work in a hybrid role, balancing office and remote work.
  • Maintain good relationships with stakeholders and vendors.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in event management.
  • Experience with international/global events preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools.
  • Ability to manage budgets and reporting requirements.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with design programs and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid passport for travel requirements.
  • Ability to work overtime and set up equipment.
