Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at SiteMinder, you will work with our Java/Kotlin teams on the Channel Manager, a large-scale distribution platform for hotels. You will be involved in cloud technologies and microservice architectures.

In Short

• Refine and deliver product requirements with minimum support
• Work with a cross-functional distributed team in an agile methodology
• Participate in release and sprint planning
• Write clean, well-organised code with trade-offs between performance and robustness
• Support production systems on a shared roster basis
• Collaborate with other developers through pair-programming and code reviews
• Mentor and support junior developers
• Understand and write infrastructure as code

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java/JVM technologies, preferably Spring Boot
• Understand microservice architectures and RESTful APIs
• AWS experience with services like EC2, Kinesis, SQS, Lambda, and S3
• Competent with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Aurora) and key/value stores (e.g., Cassandra, Redis)
• Understand code testability, build pipelines, Docker, and CI/CD systems
• Stay updated with best practices and technologies
• Work with product and other teams to deliver high-quality software
