Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

At Shiftmove, we’re building a new Finance function in France following the acquisition of Ocean, previously part of the Orange Group. We're seeking a Senior Accountant to take the lead on local accounting operations, drive the implementation of our ERP system, and oversee the transition of finance services from the former parent company.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring financial compliance, establishing core accounting processes, and delivering accurate reporting for our French entities—working closely with our finance teams in Germany and Poland.

The position is remote within France, with occasional travel to our Aix-en-Provence office to support collaboration and key team meetings.

In Short

• Lead the transition of accounting processes from the previous parent company into Shiftmove’s operating model
• Ensure full compliance with French GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies
• Oversee the full accounting operations for our French entity, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll postings, provisions, and month-end closings
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, delivering accurate financial reports to Group Finance in Germany
• Drive the implementation of our ERP system (NetSuite) in France
• Serve as a liaison with our accounting teams in Germany and Poland
• Act as key finance contact for external stakeholders
• Strengthen internal controls and help design scalable finance processes
• Support budget and forecast cycles
• Manage tax filings and regulatory submissions

Requirements

• Experience in accounting and finance roles
• Strong knowledge of French GAAP and tax regulations
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
