Mid Level Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are currently seeking a Mid Level Software Engineer to join CTG's shared IT team which supports the website development needs of each of the CTG businesses. Under the direction of the Director of Technology, you will work with existing team members to design and develop web application programs to facilitate new business initiatives and drive increased conversion across each of our consumer facing websites. You will also be instrumental in enhancing back-office systems to maximize operational efficiency.

• Partner with key business stakeholders to understand technical needs and create architecture/design solutions.
• Join other team members in collaborative thinking and brainstorming.
• Utilize new technologies to enhance website infrastructure and deployment strategies.
• Ensure SEO best-practices are used throughout the website.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Three (3)+ years of software/platform design and implementation experience.
• A strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and JavaScript design patterns.
• Strong working knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS/SCSS, Javascript, Typescript, Nodejs, Angular.
• Knowledge of Microservice architecture, Event based, and API architecture.
• Experience with cloud hosting providers and infrastructure technologies.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience writing queries for databases.
• Knowledge of .NET and Classic ASP is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable in a work environment that requires strong problem solving skills.
• Open-minded and curious to be continually learning/applying new skills.
