Food Safety Auditor - Remote

Overview

As a Food Safety Auditor, you will perform third-party audits per SGS Certification procedures and requirements of one or more applicable standards (i.e. FSSC22000, SQF, BRC). You will also perform the collection and analysis of sufficient information to provide a recommendation for certification.

• Perform certification audits in conformance with SGS procedures.
• Determine whether registration should be recommended based on audit evidence.
• Operate the SGS Certification System in all auditing activities.
• Collaborate with teams of Auditors during audits.
• Provide customers with sufficient audit experience.
• Assist in training other Auditors.
• Participate in witness audits by SGS or accreditation bodies.
• Maintain all audit-related credentials.
• Adhere to internal standards and policies.
• Undertake other activities as directed by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or bio science.
• 5+ years’ work experience as Lead Auditor to FSSC, BRC, and/or SQF.
• Minimum 5 years in a management function in the food industry.
• Minimum 2 years in quality assurance or food safety management.
