Certification Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Certification Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing a technical service on behalf of SGS customers who have applied for certificates confirming compliance of equipment with various published standards.

In Short

• Assess the design of and examine and test prototype equipment.
• Prepare assessment, certification, examination or test reports.
• Assess documentation required for compliance with standards.
• Prepare Certificates describing the equipment being certified.
• Certification and Testing work.
• Experience in an engineering environment.
• Maintain a personal record of experience and competence.
• Experience in the application of Ex standards.
• Technical qualification in an engineering subject.
• Experience liaising with test and certification subcontractors.

Requirements

• Experience in an engineering environment of drawing office practice.
• Experience in quality control methods or systems.
• Experience in applying professional judgement on compliance.
• Technical qualification gained through higher education.
