GFSI Food Safety Auditor - Remote

Overview

The Food Safety Auditor will perform third-party audits per SGS Certification procedures and requirements of one or more applicable standards (i.e. FSSC22000, SQF, BRC) to improve food safety and quality.

In Short

• Perform certification audits in accordance with SGS Global/Local procedures.
• Provide recommendations for certification based on audit evidence.
• Collaborate with teams of Auditors during auditing activities.
• Assist in training other Auditors.
• Maintain all audit-related credentials.
• Travel up to 80% of the time, including international travel.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Strive to provide customers with sufficient audit experience.
• Actively participate in witness audits.
• Undertake other activities as directed by the Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or bio science required.
• 5+ years of work experience as a Lead Auditor to FSSC, BRC, and/or SQF.
• Minimum 5 years of proven management function in the food industry.
• Minimum 2 years in quality assurance or food safety management.
• Strong knowledge of technical applications of the standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
• Act with integrity and make clear decisions during audits.
