Overview

The Director, Business Development will be responsible for driving sales through account development, client management and new customer acquisition.

In Short

  • Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve sales growth objectives.
  • Qualify, sell and close deals through consultative sales process.
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM database.
  • Lead the client engagement strategy and identify key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical resources to staff opportunities and projects.
  • Manage successful transition of new opportunities to the delivery team.
  • Develop strategies that drive revenue growth from new and existing clients.
  • Partner with inside sales teams to align business development efforts.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and market shifts.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters/MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years managing complex clients in the life science industry.
  • Proven track record of business development success in a B2B environment.
  • Experience with services in technical operations and quality.
  • Strong communication skills with a track record of selling complex solutions.
