Senior Actuarial Associate - Remote

Overview

The Senior Actuarial Associate provides actuarial and underwriting expertise to contribute to the organization's financial soundness, applying principles to health care benefit programs and financing systems.

In Short

• Provides oversight of product design and rating structures.
• Coordinates rate and compliance certifications with state Insurance Departments.
• Develops and maintains analysis and reporting of claims experience.
• Analyzes financial statement reserves and other liabilities.
• Supports internal and external audits and reporting.
• Oversees budget projection inputs and administrative expense models.
• Develops reimbursement structures for providers.
• Coordinates Retiree Drug Subsidy data reporting.
• Designs and maintains data extracts and reporting tools.
• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and FSA certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, computer science, economics, or finance.
• Current Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
• Eight years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Experience with sales and insurance brokerage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
