Senior Associate Actuary - Remote

Overview

The Sr. Associate Actuary role primary responsibility is to support the GAAP Actuarial Valuation and Financial Reporting procedures for Fidelity & Guaranty Life. This position will be a subject matter expert for GAAP valuation processes of the Fixed Index Annuity and Deferred Annuity lines of business. All valuation processes need to be performed in a highly controlled environment; position will maintain, enhance and review the various quarterly controls.

• Establish reserves and related balances for Fixed Index Annuity and Deferred Annuity lines of business under GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state valuation regulations.
• Review and analyze quarterly reserve/balance movements.
• Monthly production of reserves for GAAP valuation.
• Preparation, review, and analysis of reserve movements.
• Maintenance and enhancement of valuation controls.
• Maintain valuation programs for new products and regulations.
• Stay updated on new regulations and requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science or related field.
• ASA required; FSA and MAAA preferred.
• 4+ years actuarial experience.
• Understanding of insurance company income statements and balance sheets.
• Experience with valuation of indexed products.
• Knowledge of GGY-AXIS or similar actuarial software preferred.
