Senior Database Administrator - Remote

Overview

Security Finance is hiring a Remote Senior Database Administrator! This position is remote with travel required on a quarterly basis.

In Short

• Analyze, assess, evaluate, and forecast all company data and database requirements.
• Implement data models and database designs, ensuring availability and reliability.
• Establish security procedures for access to company data.
• Provide second level technical support to all users of the database.
• Maintain adequate database documentation for planning and resource allocation.
• Resolve database performance and reliability issues.
• Design and implement database backup and recovery methodologies.
• Support other IS groups with database management services.
• Travel to home office for quarterly meetings and special projects.
• 5 years of experience in Information Services required.

Requirements

• Replication Server and SQL Anywhere experience preferred.
• 3 years of DBA and/or Software Development experience preferred.
• MS SQL or Sybase ASE experience required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
• Management experience preferred.
• Computer literate with strong Excel skills.
